Caps for Sale...

Remember that book? The guy with the tall pile of caps on his head? The monkeys teasing him in the tree. Stealing his hats......Do you feel like that sometimes? The caps part. That big pile of caps that are stacked upon our heads. Each representing some part of our responsibilities.

The list could really go on and on couldn't it? You were bored though with it all about me so i spared you.

I am wondering if we can sell some of these caps? Not PAY others to take the cap {house cleaner, babysitter, lawn guys, drive through window dinners}, but have someone purchase them from us. You know, some one who would think that THEY need to build that talent or whatever and are willing to do an 'apprenticeship' with out cap. Wouldn't that be great? Even if it wasn't long term. Just for a bit so we can get a handle on things......does that ever happen?

I am in this thinking mode of ----how can i make all those caps fit---- What needs to be done to make that happen? I will be exploring this for the a bit of time. Care to come along?

ok- no mumbling in the back there. There is definitly some sewing along the way too.

Just to prove it and show you i can produce something: This is what i did this weekend at a little sewing meeting. Pattern is Jelleystone Roll or something like that. Quick pattern.

Used a jelly roll -that was a bit obvious- that i have had for 3 years now. yikes. Won it at a retreat. I love it. Kansas City Troubles. Love them. Here are a few. Can't wait to put the top together, but i will have to. That cap doesn't fit.......yet.

i was having issues with the last post. i mean, there were a few goodies...but no pictures. So without bla bla-ing too much. Here are some pics. Maybe you just need a good laugh. Sometimes i can supply it. Today would be that sometime. Go ahead. Laugh away.

in the picture would be annie in the striped shirt--{makes those cute headbands} and left the photo shoot early, Amy, Heather, and me. The goof ball who can't stand still. Maybe it's because my hair is HORENDOUS!! {roots showing, out of its style, dry, just blah}. even the princess wand tucked behind the ear can't make up for it.

Did i really hit the post button? once it's out there i can't take it back can i.

Not much here....

No pictures- No Sewing- No quilting- Just really not much.....but just enough to blab and type a 10 page blog post on......hee hee {don't click away.....it really isn't that long}

Quilt group- fun! They had a quick triangle in a triangle technique. must share sometime. maybe when i make something using the technique. :)

Some how i was nominated to help out another gal in the group for next years doings. i love it. stay upstairs (in the shop, shopping) while the meeting starts...walk down the stars totally tardy....tada you are the presidents helper! everyone say AY....AY what? where was i? We had a quick little brainstorm party right after though and got a few great ideas for her to go with. Should be a pretty good year, if i do say so myself!

ok. on with sewing .....wait that was sort of sewing...but no product, just bla bla.

I have done a little bit, but not a whole lot :( Those shows just sneak up on me and then WHAT? It is today? I have to set up by 5pm? So there ya have it. Panic attack and all. I have been finishing up a few things that were started. oh, i also got a art display sort of thingie to put on the table to hang my stuff off of. I will share when it gets put up and things are hanging on it...cute like.

So how are the postcards coming along? I got one from Marilyn. uh. i didn't show it did i--ok. i will later. Promise. no time at the moment. Mine.....are coming girls! don't you panic like i am! not over recieving postcards, just this week in life....

Oh, and for those of you who shared your tidbits on blogs, and bits, and whatever else here..... let's see. there were 6 of you! is that it?

I am looking into some new options for my here blog. I am needing some external answers from all of you out there. Will you take the time to look at the questions and give me some answers? Much appreciated...truly.

* What company do you go through for your blog? give me some names of those companies that let you have a blog, domain name and free templates.


* How much do you pay? Per month? year? What plans do you like the best?

* Where are some good templates for website pages?

* Anyone have an e-commerce site? that is really what i would like to have to. What company do you use?

*How do you change a website to an e-commerce one? easy, complicated?

* How much per month for what plan? is it worth it?


If you have ANYTHING else that you would like to share please do!!! I need some help!!!
I have looked at oodles of things, online, in the library, read some books....but really what i would like is user feedback.
What works best? worst? SOOOO worth the time, or not.

Bubbles, Bubbles Everywhere!

This is what we did on Friday....(i am a little behind in telling)

I got the idea from Betz White . She did this and i thought, hey, we should try this!! I am a big copy-cat if you haven't noticed!! So i cut the ends off of the bottles, the kids grabbed an old towel, cut it up, rubber-banded it on and voila!!

Now, I would suggest going to the dollar store and stocking up on some major large bottles of bubbles. I couldn't find my biggest bottle ever, so we were left with putting some little ones together. These babies soak it up and quick and i think they would have been more impressed with a better--or endless-- supply of it.

It was fun though, and they enjoyed it ----if only for a brief moment. I think they tried impressing the babysitter that night with a low supply of bubble juice. :(

The oldest wasn't so impressed (infact, she claimed light headedness from blowing so much), but the little ones liked it. Can't please them all? can we now?!

Hmmmmm...what can i do with the snakes?!!! Need you really ask?

TADAH!!! I think he even said he had a beard like Abraham Lincoln on the 4 heads!! they did learn something!!

I thought i would share Sunday dinner with you all. This is what summer is all about!! Food from your own garden or from the locals!!

From my garden: appricots for the drinks (did make some jam-yum too), cherry tomatoes, (can't see) cucumbers, green peppers, and yellow squash.

From the co-op: asperagus, potatoes

mom brought sliced ham...It was a really great dinner.

I belong to the food co-op and I love it!! the veggies and friut are fresh and wonderful, and the meat is from some great local meat guys. There are many different ways to order and i love getting the harvest share. All Fruits and veggies, + some lovely bread!!

This week is full of real-estate stuff and so I haven't had much time for sewing. :( How sad!!

I did get a great big bolt of batting from a friend who gets a great deal (thanks for sharing friend) and so that means that i should quilt some more....so when the hens and checks...well you know, pressure is on!!

Pressure can be positive.....can't it?!!! I need to go and tell that to my honey......
