My favorite notion is my seam ripper. Seems like I need to "unsew" quite often so it comes in all too handy!!

My tape measure (is that a notion) I had to buy another one recently so I could ensure I had one on me at all times.

I do use my seam ripper quite often but I don't want to call it my favorite notion...just my most used. My favorite would have to be my 12.5" square ruler. Makes squaring up blocks much easier.

Let's see, I love the pretty, enamel-handled pair of scissors, tiny ones only for cutting thread. They make me *smile*. I asked my daughter and she said, "Mom, you always have the rotary cutter in your hand!" So, maybe that is the favorite. She said hers was the right color thread!

My fave is pin cushion(S). They can be multifuntional, cute, just great! I have one with emery sand, one attached to a thread catcher and another that attaches to my machine since I can never find them when I need them the other way!

Thanks!

I'm not sure what the actual definition of NOTIONS is? Does it include everything but fabric? Tools? Or could it mean NOTION as in "Idea"? Hmmm, I think I'll go with that last definition. In that case my favorite notion is: I think I'll go sew something!

I was going to vote, but the voting box wasn't there. Is that because it's January 1 here already? Maybe.

Favourite notion(s) would have to be my rotary cutter & ruler. Because they are such a great invention!

My favorite is my awl to help me guide my fabric eavenly.
But I use my seam ripper all the time too. It is the ripper that looks like a small scapel and it is the best I have found.

It has to be the needle threader - without it I would not be doing any sewing at all!
