Meet Mr. Butterfly Quick Stitch

Everyone knows the story of the Caterpillar and the Butterfly.
First was the caterpillar and then they became a beautiful butterfly. This one is around 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches of curvy width.

The jacket can slip on and off and ties in the front. Caterpillar....butterfly....caterpillar....butterfly....

The pattern is now in the shop.

I guess you could call it a two for one pattern :)

Owl Quick Stitch Transformation

I have been thinking about adding some quick stitch patterns to the pack. I am still working on the patterns and designs-so nothing new yet. Just wait though, there are a few coming.

In the meantime.......take the owl pattern.....mix it up just a bit....and voila!!! a Snow Owl!!!

He looks all cute in his peperminty outfit.

I think that he could have a ribbon attached to the top of his head to hang him in the Christmas Tree. I might have to make me a few more...just for that.

Oh the things you can do with wool felt......mmmmmm......

Speaking of wool felt: Yesterday I worked on this pillow. I have quite a few pillows in the front room and nothing that is really seasonally. So I took the cover off of this one and made this wool one. I used a pattern that had 4 different fronts. One for each season. I should have done the pumpkin one a couple of months ago. It is wayyyy cute. But oh, well...maybe next year!!

Crazy Bat Lady

So, why didn't anyone leave a little comment saying: crazy bat lady.....how come the link doesn't work? It has been what --2 days and i am thinking everything is grand. mmmm, not so much! It has come to my attention that when you clicked on the click here button it took you to my etsy shop....then you thought...i thought that this was free?? what???

crazy bat lady.

Well- i of course have done my 4th bat for the kids (that would be because i was the only one with the pattern) so here it is. I was at first afraid of going away from the 'traditional' halloween colors, but i thought what the heck. This is what i came up with. I think i like them in all kinds of spooky colors. I put it over in the flickr group too, again i am the only one posting there too;)

I also have been finishing up a couple more of the Quick Stitch Patterns. They will be over in the shop later on today.

He has a pocket in the front to collect his acorns!!!

He also has a wonderful floppy tail to help keep him balanced.

Rocket and Aliens

I guess it has a astronaut too. This rocket can stand on its own with a tinsy amount of manuevering along with it's alien and space boy astronaut. They are around 2" tall with the rocket being 5X3. They are currently residing on a scary, rusty, speckally outdoor area ready at a moments notice for anything that looks adventurous.

I have some other things that i am working on -----not quick stitch patterns---- but something just as fun. At least to me. Of course there are things i should be quilting and getting ready for the present season...but i'm not. oh, i did get my cupcake swap done last night and i did this one cupcake pot holder.....oh, my, goodness.....i will show you later.

Now, don't go call'n me a TEAS'N, CRAZY BAT LADY......

Quick Stitch Patterns

I have been working on this little set of "Quick Stitch" patterns for the past little bit. They are simple patterns that are quick and easy.
Great for the first time stitcher/learner. Perfect for any sewing age. As you can see from the measurements, they are small. This makes it a great totable project and one that can be worked with little fingers. Use as a toy (do embroidery and not buttons for little guys), noise makers (stick a little bell inside) or just for learning stitching!


Today is the release of the first patterns. They are in my Etsy Shop for purchase. These guys are addictive!!! So i am sure that i will be adding some more to the collection. These are e-patterns. Quick, easy and almost immediate satisfaction!

**I thought i might say a few things about the bat pattern. Sorry it is soooo late! I have tech difficulties all day long. And if you look at the orange bat he has 2 different ears. One of them i just folded in a different way and then stitched it down. They are up to your own ideas and dreamings. Also- If you want a flat bottom instead of round just sew it closed straight across.

I of course need to make one more (4 kids, 3 bats). I should make a bunch and hang them up for some deco.
