Quilt Festival

Here is my submission for the QUilt Festival. I just couldn't resist. You know me i love to play along!!!

So, this is one of my most favoritest quilts. I made it back in 2005. I found the pattern in an advertisement for batting one time and loved it...then the pattern showed up in a super old Quilters Newsletter magazine. I had to do it! It was made with templates- so not my favorite- and lots of little tiny squares - the pattern being done before strip piecing- I quilted it on my Janome Sewing machine, I hadn't bought the big one yet.
I am guessing on the size. Should have measured it...but i am thinking it is around 70" X 80" or something like that.

This was an Ugly Quilt Challenge. You buy a brown lunch bag with 4 one yard pieces in it. You take those and make a quilt with it. Very challenging! You so have to think outside of the box on these. I love them!!!

Here is the label.

Quilting

backside
As you can see from the photos there is little brown spots all over it. Yup, the brown bled. ugh. It has spots on the back and the front. Little brown faded specks. Not sure what to do with it....the spots. It has ruined its hanging days. Now it just lies draped over a quilt ladder strategically folded to show no spots.
any suggestions?

Repeat performance

Do you notice that sometimes things repeat themselves? I mean who couldn't notice it? Circle of Life......But really, have you ever noticed it in your like of quilting? I have a few little suprises to show......that what we once did is now cool again. Apparently I have been quilting long enough to finally see a repeat. Is that something to brag about?
Now see here......
My quilt from 1997:

Quilt from 1800's at Moda Bake Shop. I am sure this has seen more than one repeat performance, don't you?
