First and Last- Quilt Parade

Camille and Carrie are putting on a 'Quilt Parade' over on their blogs. The Parade is your first and last quilt. Since i finished a quilt yesterday, that makes it a little easier on me. :)

1st quilt. I have 2. One that i did finish first and then one that i was working on at the same time as the first one, but it took a year or two...ok it took 7 years to finish it up. Gosh, big deal. Why is everyone so worried about the details. :) But it really is in the same realm. So you get doubley firsts. So there.

1st first: table Top. A bunch of scissor cut 1 1/2 inch squares. There is not one nice square in there. But i keep it and i use it!! lots. 1996 or 1997 sometime. 25X 25 inch trying to be square.

2nd first: Started 1997 finished 2004

The little people are what gave me such greif!! it was suggested by a friend to just put 'grass' at the bottom of their feet since none of them matched. So i did and then finished! took 7 years to figure that one out. Again- little squares and not perfect, but it is Jerika's. Size: 50X60 inch.

Last quilt finished: IN THE LEAFY TREETOPS

It was done for the Make a Long challenge. All the applique are raw edge. It has been washed and dried and then ragged a little bit. It needs some more scrubbing along the edges though. It is so summery! i love it. It is currently residing in my room on the reading chair. It is made with some of the sheet fat quarters from a swap.

**Would you like a little sew along or free pattern with this one? I am willing to share this time :)
**edit--i will be sharing! how about that? Maybe next week, since this week i will be finishing up the Cranky Quilt--come back and check it out why don't ya?!**

I love them all! The first two pieced quilts are wonderful but I really love your most recent quilt. The pieced backing behind the applique is really beautiful ~ and it makes the whole quilt something really amazing!

Thank you for sharing your quilts ~ I have really enjoyed them. :)

I would love a pattern for that one - it's very clever, and something I haven't tried before!

LOL -- Trying to be square. Love it.. It shows you have a lot of determination cutting out those squares w/scissors. I'd have given up after 1 or 2 and wonder -- who said I want to quilt... ha ha... But you did so you go girl.

Love the applique w/raw edges...It's darling.
